What is Interview Screening Process?

Interview screening is a process used by organizations to evaluate candidates’ qualifications and suitability for a job. It typically occurs after the initial application and resume review, and before any in-person interviews.

During the interview screening process, a recruiter or hiring manager typically conducts a brief interview or phone screen with the candidate. This interview can include questions about the candidate’s work history, skills, qualifications, and availability.

The purpose of the interview screening process is to narrow down the pool of candidates and identify those who are most qualified for the job. It helps organizations to save time and resources by eliminating candidates who do not meet the minimum qualifications or are not a good fit for the company culture.

After the screening process, successful candidates may be invited for further interviews, such as a panel interview or an in-person interview with the hiring manager.
