What is a One on One Interview?

A one on one job interview is a type of job interview where a single candidate meets with one interviewer for the purpose of discussing the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and suitability for the job.

In this type of interview, the interviewer asks questions about the candidate’s background, education, work experience, and skills, and the candidate responds with answers that demonstrate their suitability for the position. The interviewer may also ask behavioral or situational questions to gauge how the candidate would handle certain scenarios on the job.

A one on one interview can take place in person, over the phone, or through video conferencing. It is often used as a preliminary screening tool to narrow down the pool of candidates before moving on to further interviews or the hiring decision.
