AutoGrid’s Professional Services (PS) Group works with leading utilities across the globe to deploy our cloud-based energy management solutions. Members of the PS team are responsible for taking our software and deploying it to the field, where it forecasts, optimizes, and controls millions of distributed energy resources, including demand response, electric vehicles, storage, smart solar, and more! 

AutoGrid’s elite PS team works remotely as well as walking the halls at utilities and acting as AutoGrid’s “face” to clients; this requires superior professionalism, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

The PS team has responsibilities for these key areas of AutoGrid’s business:

1.    Manage all post-sales implementation of customer deployments including scope definition, schedule management, use case definition, product deployment and configuration, solution testing, user training, and all other tasks related to delivering the solution to AutoGrid's customers.

2.    Provide ongoing support, testing, and maintenance to ensure customer acceptance and satisfaction through new product releases.

3.    Manage and maintain integration with various hardware device vendors that are included as components in AutoGrid deployments.  Understand the end-to-end solution, monitor device patches and upgrades, and regularly test interoperability throughout the stack. 

4.    Provide pre-sales support through contributing to proposals, developing SOWs, and demonstrating our solution.

Job Title / Designation: Solution Delivery Engineer / Senior Solution Delivery Engineer

 

Job Description:

  • Interface with customer business managers and operators to understand the business objectives and then be able to translate these to technical requirements to enable their specific solution
  • Understand the integration layers between our platform, data sources, utility systems, device vendor clouds, etc. and build software, scripts and connectors as necessary between various systems.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product Management. As a product expert, be responsible for configuring our applications to meet customer business requirements.
  • Once the solution is deployed, test specific use cases and the entire end-to-end solution within the customer IT environment.
  • Train the utility operations personnel and support the solution until completely transitioned to the utility users.
  • Monitor incoming customer service tickets, provide the second line support/triage to assist the customer support team, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Query and manipulate data to generate custom reports that unlock additional value from customer data
  • Occasionally travel to meet with customers and demonstrate the capabilities of our software.
  • Drive software quality process improvement

 

Key Experience & Skills of the Candidate:

  • Passion for customer success
  • Deep hands-on experience in systems integration, professional services, or product engineering/management. To have customer-facing experience, ideally with utilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering customer requirements and translating those into precise engineering specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and analytic capabilities.
  • Proficient with Python, Ruby, Java, or similar object-oriented languages (multiple)
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL)
  • Familiarity with scripting in a Linux environment 
  • Experience working in cross-site (India/US/Europe/APAC) Agile engineering teams
  • Proven ability and desire to deliver projects on time with high quality
  • Able to cope with and thrive in fast paced, dynamic work environment with evolving project requirements
  • Self-driven, motivated and confident with personable approach. Ability to stand ground in discussions and raise questions
  • Willingness to travel internationally for a few weeks or months if needed
  • Ability to understand complex programs / environments in short period of time

  • A passion to learn, deliver new systems/solutions to the market and have a big impact

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with utility enterprise IT systems
  • Experience with SaaS software and Amazon EC2
  • Familiarity with big data frameworks, Hadoop/MapReduce, HDFS, HBase, etc
  • Understanding of the mechanics and economics of the smart energy doman (demand response, demand-side management, etc.)
  • Proven experience working in a dynamic startup environment will be a plus

 

Minimum/Maximum/ Work Experience Required: 3-6 years

 

Annual CTC: Rs 8-12 Lakhs (based on skills, education, experience and past CTC)
